The new edition of the Marseille Tarot, in a high quality, low price, big sized editions for the 22 Majors only. The Marseille deck, in the recolored version of the Claude Burdel deck, printed originally in 1751, is one of the three cornerstone of the Tarot tradition.
French Master card maker Claude Burdel crafted this deck in 1751 according to the Marseilles model, but distinguished it with striking Swiss decorative accents. Burdel’s original deck is preserved in the Museum of Civilizations and the Mediterranean Sea in Marseilles. Each Limited Edition, hand-numbered deck is wrapped in a reproduction packing sheet.
Wilfried Houdouin is a professional graphic designer who has â?¨lived in Marseille, France since 2001. Fascinated by the Tarot of Marseilles â?¨since childhood, he has passionately pursued the study, practice and teaching â?¨of the historic deck for decades. He studied graphic arts in Paris at â?¨the end of the 80s, and trained in computer graphics in the mid 90s. In 2011 he created the Tarot of Marseilles Millennium Edition, and wrote The Sacred Code of the Tarot.
Yves Reynaud combines his work as a maritime inspector in Marseilles, France with a deep interest in esotericism, with Astrology, â?¨numerology and graphology. He fell in love with the Tarot of Marseilleâ?¨in his youth. Since 2004, he has concentrated on the historic tarot decks, which he fervently collects. He has researched the iconography, genealogy and history of the Tarot of Marseilles, its engravers and master card makers.
Along with Wilfried Houdouin, he realized the importance of the â?¨initiatory and cultural legacy of the Tarot of Marseilles. Aware of the rarity of the preserved copies, together they decided to create Tarot of â?¨Marseilles Heritage, producing a brand new growing collection of â?¨facsimiles of the most beautiful historical Tarots of Marseilles, â?¨republished with utmost respect for the original editions.
